Hardscape & Outdoor Living in Point, Texas

Hardscape on a lakeside property has to solve problems most yards do not have. Sandy ground shifts under loads it was not prepared for. Shoreline grade means water is always trying to move toward the lake, and anything built without drainage designed in will help it. Tree roots push through anything laid too shallow, and shade keeps surfaces damp longer than they would be in the open. We build outdoor spaces for lakeside reality: compacted, drained base work, shoreline-aware grade, and surfaces chosen for the way a property on the water actually lives.

Lakeside patios and walkways in Point

We build patios in concrete, pavers, and natural stone, sized and shaped around how you actually use the yard: room for a table, a fire, a grill, and the traffic that comes with lake weekends. Walkways connect the patio to the house, the drive, the dock path, and the lawn so people stop wearing paths through the grass. Under all of it goes compacted, drained base work engineered for sandy subgrade, so surfaces stay level through wet seasons and dry ones.

Retaining walls and grade work

Sloped lots are the rule around Lake Tawakoni, and water always wins against a slope that is not managed. Retaining walls hold grade where it needs holding, turn hillsides into usable flat space, and manage how water moves toward the shoreline. We build timber, block, and stone walls with drainage designed in, because a wall without drainage is a wall with a countdown on it, especially on a bank.

Outdoor living spaces

Point’s long seasons are made for outdoor living, and we build the pieces that make people stay outside: fire pits and fireplaces, seating walls, pergolas and shade structures, and outdoor kitchens where the property supports them. On lake properties, the outdoor space often becomes the center of the whole place, and we build it to hold up to dockside traffic and weather alike.

Water features and lighting

Fountains, ponds, and small recirculating features add sound and movement that make a space feel finished, and low-voltage lighting doubles the hours you get out of the yard: path lights for safety, uplights that turn trees and walls into features, and patio lighting that keeps gatherings going past sunset. On lake properties, lighting also makes dock paths and grades safer after dark, and we design systems that can be added to later instead of replaced.

Commercial and hospitality hardscape

Point’s small commercial properties, lodges, and rental cabins use hardscape for entries, courtyards, and gathering areas that hold up to guest traffic. Installs are quoted for durability and low maintenance and can be scheduled alongside a property contract.

Building for East Texas ground

The local soil moves with the weather, and shoreline grade moves with the water. We build with expansion joints, the right setting methods for each material, root barriers where they are needed, and drainage that moves water away from the work instead of under it. It is the part of hardscaping nobody photographs and the part that determines whether the space still looks new in ten years.
