A good landscape looks like it belongs where it is. That is the standard Mora Property Service designs to: plantings that fit East Texas soil and weather, beds that work with the house instead of against it, and installations that still look intentional five years later. We have designed and installed landscapes across the region for more than 30 years.

The design process
Design starts with a walk of the property. We look at how the sun moves across the yard, where water goes when it rains, what the soil is doing, and how you actually use the space. Front yards are judged from the street; back yards are lived in. The design should serve both.
From there we put together a planting plan: bed shapes, plant selections for each exposure, sizes at maturity, and a materials list for mulch, edging, and any hardscape that ties in. You see the plan before anything is ordered or dug.
Installation
Installation is where most landscapes succeed or fail. Beds get cut and edged clean, existing soil gets amended, and plants go in at the right depth with the right spacing for their mature size. Mulch goes down at a depth that holds moisture without smothering roots.
We install trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and seasonal color. Everything we plant is chosen to survive here: crape myrtles, hollies, magnolias, yaupon, ornamental grasses, and native-friendly selections that handle heat, humidity, and the occasional hard freeze.
Privacy plantings and screening
One of the most common requests we get is screening: from a neighbor, a road, a utility box, or a new development. Privacy plantings are their own discipline. The plants have to be evergreen or dense enough to screen year round, fast enough to matter, and placed so they do not crowd the fence or the foundation when they mature. We build screens that look like a landscape, not a wall of shrubs.
Erosion control
East Texas gets rain in buckets, and slopes and drainage channels pay for it. Bare dirt on a grade will wash every storm, and once it does, the problem gets worse each year. We address erosion with grading, retaining, ground covers, and plantings that hold soil in place — practical work that protects the property while it looks good doing it.
Commercial landscapes
Commercial properties get the same design process with different priorities: durability, low maintenance, and appearance under constant public view. Entry monuments, frontage beds, parking islands, and seasonal color rotations are all part of our commercial landscape work, and installations can be folded into a commercial property contract.
After the install
A new landscape is not finished the day it is planted. The first season decides how it looks for years. We set up watering schedules, and clients can pair installation with our maintenance programs so the beds and turf get cared for by the same crew that built them.
